Required abilities,qualities, and experience
Applicants should have basic knowledge of space exploration, spacecraft, and the surface environment of solar system bodies. Applicants should be familiar with experiments, be able to design test equipment, and have basic knowledge of fluid mechanics, electromagnetism, and mechanics required for numerical analysis, as well as programming skills, since both experiments and numerical analysis are planned.

Research environment after arriving at one’s post.
For the implementation of this research, the applicant will participate in a research group across the Sagamihara campus that is conducting research on landing technology for space exploration, and to use the test facilities owned by the group after making arrangements as necessary. The group regularly holds seminar-style research meetings, so that research support, guidance, and human resource development are available within this framework. The computer environment necessary for research is provided by the supervisor, who provides notebook and desktop computers to the applicant.
