Ability to understand fundamental requirements from science mission, knowledge of spacecraft system and operation, and experiences in deep space missions.

Research environment after arriving at one’s post.
The research will be done under the lead of researchers in ISAS Department of Solar System Sciences, as well as the collaboration with other research staffs, such as MMX and DESTINY+ Project members, in JAXA.

Abilities, qualifications, and experience expected to be obtained at the end of the term
Able to acquire knowledge and skills on the process of deriving mission and system requirements, system and operation design, and observation planning for scientific instruments on deep space exploration missions.
Through discussions and experiences such as coordination, the applicants are able to gain relationships of trust with the science, operation, and data analysis communities in Japan and overseas.
Through these experiences, the applicants can expect the ability to create future missions in addition to participating in domestic and overseas projects.
