The candidates should possess the knowledge and ability in aerospace engineering, especially, aerothermodynamics, high-enthalpy gas dynamics, aerodynamics, and EDL technology. And they should have the motivation and communication skills to promote a project, ground experiments, and flight demonstration with collaborating other staff.

Research environment after arriving at one’s post.

The research will be supervised by the academic staff in aerothermodynamics and aerodynamics fields related to the atmospheric-entry system. The applicants can access various facilities for aerodynamic research in ISAS, like a shock tube facility, a plasma heater, and a low-speed wind tunnel. Additionally, they will have opportunities to use large facilities located in other departments and to participate in the flight demonstration using large scientific balloons, sounding rockets, and nano-satellites.

・Contract of employment will be concluded each fiscal year.
・Applicants will not be hired as a permanent employee after the term of service.
・Employment period may be extended up to 3 years for the longest, in consideration of research evaluation every fiscal year.

・Annual Income
　Approximately JPY 5,300,000

　* May change due to the recommendation by the Natl. Personnel Authority.
・Benefits
　Commuting, Housing, Achievement, Year-end allowances.
・Research funding
　Researcher may receive research funding specific to such individual.(However, this depends on the budget.)
